Dana Risucci, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in helping people recover from addictions and other unhealthy behaviors that interfere with their divine purpose, authentic self and ultimate happiness. She has experience working with chemical dependency, anxiety and depression, and women’s issues.
Dana has the passion and skill to help women to recover, and even thrive from the trauma of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. The pressures of life and the demands of balancing several roles and relationships at home and work can be quite challenging for women. Dana helps women to unveil their authentic feelings, leading to self-discovery, happiness and success.
The trauma of abuse and abandonment results in victimization. These innocent survivors experience great emotional turmoil, and often develop unhealthy patterns of coping and behavior. In adult life they also tend to find themselves in troubled, even abusive relationships. It is also quite common for these survivors of abuse and neglect to recreate the role of victim in their adult lives. These survivors minimize or deny their own feelings, needs, and dreams. Dana helps women to accept and validate their feelings and to learn new ways to cope with these feelings. Survivors learn to thrive through this self-acceptance and empowerment, as they begin to embrace the gifts and blessings they truly deserve.
Dana provides and promotes a safe, healing, and nurturing environment that encourages this process of self-discovery, serenity and joyful growth.
